
Almost a couple decades ago, Maestro Vladislav Bulakhov, the conductor of the Moscow chamber orchestra “The Seasons” commissioned the “Suite”. He was after a light, humor-tinged, lyrical, melodic (in a traditional way) work that lasted almost 24 minutes. Then, I rearranged it for violin and piano.
