The Lion that Couldn’t Roar – October 2015
Margarita Zelenaia’s music fairy tale “The Lion that Couldn’t Roar” (for Piano trio, Clarinet and Narrator) will be performed at the Mannes Sounds Festival in October 2015 (the date is TBA). It will be part of the program dedicated to the music fairy tales written by the Russian composers, and curated by Irina Morozova. “The Lion that Couldn’t Roar” was written in a collaboration with Robert Sherman, award-winning American radio broadcaster, bestselling author, music critic, writer, and educator. At this concert Mr. Sherman will be a narrator of his own story.

Since 1999, Mannes has presented a yearlong music festival every year.
