World premiere of the “Double Variations based on Mussorgsky”
World premiere of the “Double Variations based on Mussorgsky” by Margarita Zelenaia for a piano solo:
July 25, 2014, 8pm. at the Richard A. Berman Student Center Concert Hall of Manhattanville College (Purchase, NY) .
As part of the “Summit International Music Festival’s” concert series Margarita Zelenaia will be giving a world premiere to her “Double Variations based on Mussorgsky”. The whole program will be dedicated to the 175th anniversary since Modest Mussorgsky, the genius Russian composer, was born. The “Variations” are based on the two themes from his opera “Boris Godunov”.

The program will also feature the vocal music by Modest Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and “My, She”, a monologue based on Chekhov, by Margarita Zelenaia.
